  • Ningwakwe Clearing House, a publisher of native educational resources based in Owen Sound, ON. Two particular items of interest come from there, Vision Literacy, and, Empowering the Spirit, a native literacy curriculum.

  • The Centre of Excellence, Eskasoni School Board, Eskasoni, NS has been writing, illustrating, translating and publishing story books and language arts curriculum in the Mi'kmaq language for the reserve schools of Nova Scotia over the past 15 years. They sell these productions to others as well and have available stories and curriculum up to the Grade 8 level.

  • University College of Cape Breton Press has also published many story books in the Mi'kmaq language. Many of these have been translated by Helen Sylliboy, a talented language technician from Eskasoni.

  • Parkland Regional College, Yorkton, SK has published through its literacy program a native literacy resource kit with video called, Reaching the Rainbow.
