Welcome to this two-day introductory session to the Internet and the use of Email. This booklet is designed to assist you in the learning process. We hope you will find this useful not only during the course but as a reference tool when you have finished.

As you will see, every effort has been made to use as many illustrations as possible to guide you as you learn how to navigate through the Internet and explore the possibilities using Email. An overview of the entire course is given in the Table of Contents.

Although this course will be "hands on", we have included some essential theory in this booklet; a glossary of basic terms used in connection with the PC has also been included as well as an introduction to Windows 95. At the end of this document, you will find a list of Web sites visited during the course together with some suggested sites you may find useful.
