Note: The English and French versions of this course are now being revised. They are still available online, but cannot currently be taken for course credit.

In May 2013 launched its version of the continuing medical education online course Health Literacy: You talk to your patients, but do they understand? - The importance of health literacy in your practice, which the Canadian Medical Association launched in English and French earlier in the spring.

This module was a collaboration between the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), and Professional Development and Conferencing Services of Memorial University (PDCS), in conjunction with subject-matter experts from The Centre for Literacy of Quebec. It was made possible by funding from the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), and the Canadian Nursing Association (CNA). The course has been accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and approved by Memorial University for up to 2.0 Mainpro-M1-credits.
