Background Paper:  This paper reviews the research on workplace literacy and essential skills, particularly the evaluation of workplace LES programs.  The paper provides background to the evaluation model that the Measures of Success project will develop and test.

La mesure du succès : Document d`information: Ce document présente les objectifs du projet et les questions de recherche; on y définit en outre les termes «alphabétisation » et « compétences essentielles » tels qu’ils sont utilisés dans le contexte canadien et dans d’autres pays.

Research Framework:  Developed by Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC), this framework provides the basis for the Measures of Success research project to evaluate the outcomes of literacy and essential skills (LES) training in the workplace.

Presentation at Summer Institute 2011:  In their presentation, David Gyarmati and Dr. Karen Myers, Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC) described the framework for Measures of Success.

Presentation at Summer Institute 2010:  The 2010 Summer Institute presented a panel discussion on the Measures of Success project, with panelists Sandi Howell, Workplace Education Manitoba, Judy Purcell, Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Workforce Development, Dr. John Bensemen, Upskilling Partnership Programme, New Zealand, and panel moderator, Dr. Kathleen Flanagan, Measures of Success'  project manager.
