Innovate

Connecting the Dots selected five action research projects across Canada to support during the second year of the Project. Each team used an action research methodology to plan, implement, adjust, and evaluate a new accountability approach, or document an existing innovative approach.

Action Research

Action research is 'learning by doing', linking practice with theory and reflection with action, and is usually carried out by a team of practitioners working with the help of research specialists. The team identifies a problem, devises a plan of action to solve the problem, and implements it while gathering data and then analyzing it to see how successful their actions are being.
